The ones I have love moisture but do well in any situation. I have the L. syphilitica, powder blue, which is the upright plant...it grows like a wildflower in NA. I like this beautiful purple. It's a prairie plant so it will probably weather the drought. Do you have the cardinalis too?

We have slugs and snails who love to eat cardinalis, so I've had to give up trying to grow it :-(
