I planted 3 plants (bargain bin) towards the end of last summer. This is what the rabbits have left me. I've given the remains a "dome" of wire with some rocks in between the plants to stop them standing on it and pressing it down so they could eat them. The plants had completely disappeared over the winter....
They're staging a valiant come-back.

Mine disappeared over both the last winters, though I've seen it retain its foliage in a mild year. Those darned rabbits...
