Every year I like to try something different. This is the common tobacco - the variety used in cultivation. Its a massive plant - already 5ft tall.

Well I'm thinking of selling it as Bedfordshire grown snuff down my local ;-) I was just messing about when I grew these - rather swamping my little garden now.

I've never seen them. Neverthought what a tobacco plant looked like really. But I don't smoke. What are the flowers like ?

I've got some flowers out on another plant http://www.growsonyou.com/photo/slideshow/211271-bloom-of-cultivated-tobacco/all
They have a nice scent in the evening and are pollinated by moths (apparently). I dont smoke either, the seeds came with a health warning when I bought them!
