Part of the side hedge. Interest all year round with the flowers and bright red leaves

How tall does it grow Annie?

They must be about 8ft Karen, a great addition to the hedge being evergreen. I might add that they do not block any sun from my neighbours garden and they have flowered even in the first year of planting. The hedge gets sun from the south but faces mainly north east.

You should have this just because of the name + blocking out neighbours trampolines

My Red Robin was a standard..remember...it died. The dead red leaves from the spring are still on, but no growth since then, and they are drooping. I've planted a honeysuckle and a Solanum to grow up the dead skeleton. I also have Camilvy which was really knocked back last winter, but is recovering well. The Pink Marbles are doing well, and I do have Davidiana too, but it is a smaller growing Photinia. I was asking how tall yours is because I was wondering if they would eventually give me some hedge privacy..so thanks for that! :))

They seem to persevere whatever the weather here Karen, North winds batter them. Could it have been more prone being a standard?

I fear I must have cut through an 'artery' when I was re edging the border or something....can't think why else it would have suddenly died...unless vine weevil...but even they would struggle to kill a plant of that size don't you think?

I love to see your Photinias flowering. I've never ever seen one in flower in real life! :))
