Pieris 'Carnaval' bells (Pieris japonica (Lily of the valley bush))

It's been the best spring flowering from these plants.

It must be the milder winter. It's a lovely one.

I think these are ericaceous though Homebird. And perhaps they like free draining soil. We had one in our first house that was stunning every year, and that was on slightly acidic soil at the top of a steep hill.
