This has a reputation for being short-lived but this plant is now in its fourth year. As I overwinter it under glass, I'm wondering if it is wet winters that usually spell its demise

That reminds me - I still haven't re-planted the one that got washed away last week - mainly becuse the steps have not been found so I can't get down to the bank. I shall have to abseil, I think!
