Rhododendron 'Lem's 45'.......

i think,,,some of my rhodo's have got mixed up and to be honest few of them have actually been true to the colours i thought, this is the first year this one has flowered, it is very pretty, but yet another shade of pink.

i knew you'd like it San...i do love pink too but i have more pink ones than i expected,,, which is fine, and gunner did you know that there are some varieties of Rhodo now that don't need acidic soil - they grow on alkaline or neutral...not sure about chalk though to be honest, but Spritzhenry did a blog on them a few months back, she has bought some of these, previously never being able to grow them - i am sure she would know if you would be able to grow these ones in your garden......failling that there is always large pots, - in fact this one is in a large pot...only because i have ran out of room in the garden, but if the pot is a nice size and you top dress and feed every year no reason why you too can't enjoy them what ever your soil type!
