Rather late for starting to flower. Sarracenia hybrid, still outside in the pond margin. I would like to see the flower colour, but not sure I will be so lucky.

Gnarly, This is the tall one with red pitchers, at present a deep deep red. Have you any inkling of what colour the flower might develope into?

Gg, I wonder if I put it in the conservatory, (frost protection only) it might finish flowering, only problem is conservatory faces north, little sunshine.

its the day length as well and the warmth will bring it on yes in the conservatory , have you had any frost yet ? as that will spell doom
you can see the red already ... as my flava always lime green buds
Ps I spoke to the specialist nursery if you think they have vine weevil as soon as you can in the spring immerse the pots in water to cover the soil but will need lots of fresh air will sort them out and leave like that for two weeks ... then back to normal after that ...

No frost yet. Have only just brought inside the leucophylla, cause I think it is probably more cold sensitive. The others were over wintered outside last year, but will bring in if it gets colder. Will bring in alien now to see if the flower develops. Thank you for the information about vine weavils.

This flower head has been cut off, and the plant put back outside because a commercial grower said it would sap the plant of energy and in Spring the plant might struggle to regrow.
