Flowering before the variegated leaves appear, this shrub will reach five feet in height and a bit more across. It is also very amenable to being trained against a wall or fence. For sun or part shade

DA - this is an old variety which is a weak plant when young, 'Joy Forever' is a better one if you want variegated leaves. S. praecox has plain green foliage.
