My first llilacs

My first llilacs (Syringa vulgaris (Common lilac))

These cut lilacs were the first blooms of a little tree I planted last summer. I didn't think they would bloom this year, as I thought my poor little bush died. Joyfully, they returned. Looking at this photo, I believe they are joined in this vase with something else, bu tI cannot remember what.

It's funny, I spend so much time in my garden, and really, it's nothing that great yet. It's been two years of love, and it's getting there. But to me, it's a miracle. Every day a surprise. And then to find this place, where there are others that are like minded. BTW, I've never been to North Caroline...well, I drove through it around 30 years ago! Looks lovely...

I was just reading back on some comments and not sure who this will go to, but I don't know if I expressed myself in saying what a lovely place this is to be. I havent' been able to come and look or post, as my heath is not that great, but it's really a special place here.

What else?

See who else is growing Syringa vulgaris (Common lilac).

See who else has plants in genus Syringa.
