So pretty.....

I'm glad you now know about Tricyrtis, Jane. They're lovely for this time of year. :-)

I look at each individual flower, Dd, and can't decide if I prefer the non-spotty ones or the really spotty ones!

We have never grow these plants, we have had a good clear out this Autumn, lost several plants to the heat, and being away for three weeks did not help, if ever we find a space I will certainly pop one in.....

What a shame - but every space is a planting opportunity, Dd. :-)) I hope you can fit a Tricyrtis in somewhere.

Isn't Mother Nature just amazing? The spotty one's are really fab!

LOL. Yes, I agree! :-)))

At least T.formosana is reliably bombproof, so prefer the spotty ones or not it's good to have a few of these dotted around that we can depend on.

My current favourites are..................

I still miss 'Tojen', Meanie. :-((

I would too!

T.lasiocarpa is almost in bloom! It always looks stunning in photos so I hope that it is that good!

I hope you manage to keep it, Meanie. I'm always looking for late-lamented 'Tojen'. <sigh> One day I'll find one!

If it divides next spring I'll let you know.

Thanks - by the way, the two little Penstemon are ready to be potted on again! :-)) They're really doing well.

That doesn't surprise me at all as they're quite rampant once they get going! That said, enough of the soft growth is cut back by the winter that I've found it to be naturally compact. It's certainly not a large plant in its habit anyway.

I have a few new Penstemons coming along for next year from seed.

Ooh - I've been replanting my containers and forgot to repot them - it's a 'must do' for today.
