Is this 1 a Mini 1 Ang?

I love Rhodos too, Ang. My soil is not right pH for them, so all mine (5 in total) are either in containers or in large pots sunk into the ground - it's hard work but worth it for these beautiful plants.

no jac would'nt say mini the flowers are very big and the leaves are average size but the growing habit is low and spreading rather than tall and bushey like most, so i would call it a ground cover shub, sorry but don't know the variety i moved this one from my last garden, it seems to have suvived the journey ok does'nt it!

and good for you Sid, i am very lucky i have never done a test but Rhodo's and Pieris, Skimmia's etc all seem to thrive in my garden, so i must have the right soil. but having said that i saw on gardners world not too long ago that if you mulch regually with compostable bark (which i do 2-3 times a year) then they should grow well even if your soil is not quite what they like, because it contains a lot of acid and very much like there natural habitat of woodlands - why not give it a try, coz they do grow so much better in the ground.
