Lilac tree !

Good morning all , Although quite frankly it is not that good here , we have a very cold wind coming off the north sea which won’t give up and an ‘Arctic blast ’ due to hit us , yesterday we had hail showers brrr …. although the week before we had some very nice quite warm bright ’sunshiny’ days ! which got me thinking about what to do once my new fence is in place , having only been here since last July the old fence was in a very bad way and got demolished in the ’gale ’ we had a few weeks back ! i would really like to plant a Lilac Tree in the corner , but am unsure how big /tall it will get, if anyone has experience of one perhaps they could advise me ! a couple of weeks ago this cheeky Squirrel made an appearance , i decided to put a few nuts out for him which he found with no trouble , he is not tame but is lovely to watch , am i doing the right thing ? the rain has stopped now so i might take a trip to a garden centre later , enjoy your Sunday .

I love to see the squirrels but, have to be careful. They can be very destructive and difficult to get rid of if they decide to set up residence.
Lilac does tend to spread but will take quite a few years to grow 7/8 feet high.

Only ever had one here, I didn't realise until it disappeared that he was probably the reason none of my bulbs ever did any good at the bottom of the garden in the raised bed, I always blamed my own pets, saying that I would be ecstatic if one came to visit, wouldn't get any work done because I'd be too busy with the camera, lol...
