winter in the garden

That's exactly what we did this week! It was very deceiving though, despite wrapping up with layers and layers of clothes, we were frozen after half an hour! It makes you realize just how fantastic some plants are at with-standing the coldest of winters.

You must be careful not to get carried away, as fallen winter leaves do provide vital protection, until the warmer weather arrives for an array of more tender plants. Roll on Spring!!

Lol how deceiving is nt it, sitting by the back door today doing the bird watch I was freezing all wrapped up.

One bonus Sixpence was the fact that we could turn the heating down saving money but after an hour in the garden, it still felt quite tropical indoors!!!!

lol Lucky you, I don't have it on at all during day but it still feels warmer inside than out, can't afford it.

I think we will all be in for a shock this year when the awful gas bill comes in! We don't over indulge, the heating only goes on for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening. As you say, can't afford the luxury!

I find cold sunshine depressing. I preffer mild rain myself :o) It's nice to get out though. Roll on spring !
