Summer in the Alps

I am looking forward to returning to our mountain chalet in the French alps at the end of June. By then I hope the landscapers will have finished building steps up to and around the back of the chalet and built decking where the hot tub will sit so that our guests can enjoy the fantastic views. Some trees have already been planted to give some privacy and when I get back I will be planting shrubs to offer more colour through the spring and summer months but need to research what will survive through very cold winters. I will be filling the window boxes with geraniums in the way of the French. will keep you posted with photos.
