It wont, I keep the birch well trimmed,with my neighbours permission of course!

Fantastic tree Jcee, do you get many flowers on it? I planted one of these last year in a very large tub and it grew 3-4 times its size in a year so this year I had to put it in the ground, but looking at yours I think I will have to keep it well trimmed....... I did get 2 fantastic flowers last year though, simply stunning...

One word of warning Marion1 dont put the leaves in your compost,to leathery,wont break down-burn them instead
As you say they are fantastic ! Mine was here when we moved in-have no idea as to how old it is but the trunk is at least 12" at the base. Bamboo said it right when she said it was my avatar!!
