Different Soil, Indeed.

So, I started my garden here in Indonesia. Most plants were started from seed I bought from America. Well, between my dog getting in my yard, virtually destroying everything, and soil problems, the seeds didn’t have a chance. I’ve attempted seeds here at least 30 times? And some sprouted, but quickly died away. :( So, I purchased local plants just two days ago and planted them quickly. So far so good, but it’s just been two days. lol! I also have five beautiful Plumeria plants I inherited from my mother-in-law when she passed away. They’re doing great. I planted local Cockscomb and Canna. I also planted a Rose bush, and new catnip seeds have been planted in potting soil again. I will not give up. The only seeds that seem to be fairly hardy here from America are the Morning Glorys I started 2 months ago. They died, but I found new sprouts when toiling in the garden two days ago. I will baby and love them into adult plants – this is my hope. Please check out my pictures to see the Plumeria, Rose bush and Cockscomb.

I reckon if we could put your weather and my soil together that would be the answer, Roy.

I think you need to look around and see what grows and likes the conditions you have. If you get some success in that way it is less of a disappointment when the experiments fail. The Plumeria is very healthy looking.....lovely flower.
