Back to the Garden...................

I have loved plants all my life.
I don’t know where my passion started, but it may have come from my mother, who always said she had a “black thumb”. Everything she tried to plant, died. Everything she left alone, lived.
I am a witch by design, and so, I make it my business to be well-versed in things like plants, stars, trees, birds—-things that ordinary mortals disregard and dismiss—-collective knowledge that may someday be lost—-except for us witches!!! Nature always takes back what is its own and shines favour on the faithful.
So, I love plants, but I never knew how much until I was asked (no, make that BEGGED!) to come to work for a local landscape desigenr and garden artisan named Myra Marsocci. Her business is “Shades of Green” (www.sogreen.biz) and she always supported me and my artwork. For years, she had my paintings hanging in her showroom, and when she recently had a new baby, she begged me to come work for her.
I started out, thinking it was a favour to a friend. I have since found out that this passion feeds my soul.
Nothing is more gratifying than to see seeds that you have planted rise up from the earth.Nothing is more rewarding than to see plants you have sliced apart with a spade multiply and grow (much like performing open heart surgery ;-).
Nothing like trimming back a plant and watching it BURGEON FULL in a matter of days!!!!!!
I am a singer and actor, and I use my passion for plants to unwind and reconnect with the Earth and her sacred treasure. I am so blessed to be where I am right now and glad to have discovered this community.

Well welcome to the site - I think you're definitely among like-minded gardening souls here. How wonderful that you get to work in this field and the arts - sounds like you're having a wonderful time. By the way - your backyard does look huge. Looking forward to seeing more photos of your garden.
