Hoping.....

Its nearly the end of March and usually by this time of the year I have my decking gleaming, my cream walls painted and my pots glowing. I am usually checking my plants every days waiting in anticipation for the first buds to emerge. I always have a wish list of plants ready to order for the summer but this year its still a mess out in my garden, I dont know if it is the combination of last years weather which seems to be continuing into this years that has zapped all of my enthusiasm but I gave myself a big shake today and made a start.
I am always looking to improve things and so I have ordered the following plants in abundance, I want to create an orange and purple mingled look so I hope I get it right this year.
Agastache ‘Black Adder’
Erigeron ‘Dunkelste Aller’
Thalictrum delavayi
Salvia verticillata ‘Purple Rain’
Tulbaghia violacea
Geum ‘Prinses Juliana’
Geum ‘Mrs J. Bradshaw’
I do hope that they look good together, and I cant wait to watch them grow….
“Your mind is a garden, your thoughts are the seeds, you can grow flowers or you can grow weeds” My motto for this year. xxx

I like your motto, and I like the thought of purple and orange together. Contrasting colours can create a bright and lively effect.
I hope the weather will warm up soon. March isn't a warm month but this year it is colder than usual.

Lovely plants, but I hope you succeed with the Tulbaghia - it seems to want warm conditions to flower.
I love the 'royal' Geum - I have two of them! :-))) They flower and flower and flower.

They sound lovely choices, well done you on not being put off by the weather and spending the time planning ahead. I look forward to pics when they're all flowering and putting on a wonderful display!:)
