Flowering Allium

Good Morning,
My brother in law planted 4 flowering" allium Gladiator" last fall, they came up and were beautiful this spring.
Does anyone have care information on these beauties? we don’t know weather to leave them alone or to cut them back. It appears that they are going to seed and I know on some bulb plants, this can keep them from blooming as nice next year. Should we break down the stalks now? or cut them off?
These bulbs didn’t come with any care instructions,
Any hlep would be appreciated.
Happy gardning,
Mary

Thank you so very much for your reply. this is exactly what we needed to know. The Christmas spray is a great thought. When do you clip the seed balls off to do this.
Thanks again,
Mary

What i do is hang them upside down with a paper bag over the heads in my shed (not plastic they will sweat) then when the seeds have dropped off you can spray them, i keep meaning to plant some seeds to see what comes up!!!

I grow Alium Sensation and i leave the seed heads (they are lovely in their own right i feel) but leave the leaves to die back and 'feed' the bulb, mine were in the garden all winter and are flowering now (see my pictures) I also spray the seed heads with gold and silver spray for Christmas, they make nice decorations!!
