Yes its a Spirea japonica - I have 2 of these one called firelight the other gold flame, look practically the same. They do prefer being in full sun no wonder - they really look their best in the sun

The shrub on the left looks like a Spirea japonica, which should have pink flowers in a few weeks' time. I can see an Aquilegia in the middle, but I can't tell what else you want us to ID. Maybe another photo with a close up of the leaves would help.
