Flowering Chimenea

I thought you'd like to see my brainwave. I have a terracotta chimenea which after 4 years of use began to crack. No good for lighting fires anymore! So, I painted it with masonary paint - put a hosta inside and a pot in the top with trailing plants.

Think i'd write to the manufacturer though, they're not meant to crack up like that are they :(
