There are some Sibirica on the bank, but although I'd love to grow the yellow 'Flags' right at the edge, the stream comes up so rapidly after heavy rain that I don't think they'd last! Next seen floating rapidly down towards the sea! lol.

Since getting the Siberians, I've become a convert to the charms of the iris. The plant breeders have be busily crossing and re-crossing...but I still think the nicest are the Laevigatas...But recently saw some from the Louisiana group... Went to the library and found a book on them...It was an eye-opener... I think I'll stick with my original wish list...I want to find the yellow specie for my pond. I know they are invasive but I'm willing to mix in with my siberians...The foliage of the siberians look pleasing to me near my pond...and they stay green and lovely all season. Have you planted Iris near your streams?
