FOR IRISH!!!!

It looks like sea lavender that grows wild on our coast !!

So how did it get in my flowerbed, then, Amy? Birds? Wind? The Postman? LOL.

I was joking Barbara , how tall is it ? no ! it couldn,t be sea lavender grows in salty sand , it looks lovely spread across the shore , you can pick bunches and then let it dry .. , a bit like Statice ( Limonium ) actually yours does look more like Statice ...

So was I! lol. I'm hoping that Eileen will use her book...

It's not Statice, though, I don't think. I'm sure it's a native plant. I certainly didn't plant it, and I can't see the leaves, if there are any. It's quite small, only about 6"?

So is Sea lavender Barbara ! you sure you haven,t got a sandpit under there .......LOL.....

i dont think it is sea lavender lol. ill look thru the book now.

well so far it looks like a Military Orchid ,but ill keep looking lol

just looking at a plant here in the book and the flower heads look the same, called spring speedwell. if you google it Barbara you might be able to tell

Try Limonium latifolium, Spritz. If it is, the flowers will appear to be 'everlasting' and take ages to open (if at all)
