tricky, misting and feeding can kill them

So, working on the theory that it's good to mist & pack orchids close together in order to keep the humidity up in a centrally heated house, I put them in with the others & subjected them to regular misting!!!!
Thanks for clearing that up for me. My remaining Milt. has now been moved to the spare room. Is it fair to say that they still appreciate some humidity though?

They are hard to grow, like to be a bit cooler and not made a fuss of, seem to hate plant food, and don't like too much water although hate being left to dry out, sounds like I am contradicting myself?

Not a contradiction at all! You said they are hard to grow!!!!
