Plastic concrete mixing tub from Home Depot-$5; 1 piece Bermuda sod $2, happy cat-priceless! She was clearly too big for this one, so I bought the double-long deluxe underbed storage bin as her second grass patch, and we've used that since Summer 2007.

Awwwwww, what a picture :)))
Funny how she wants to be there ! Doesn't she sleep on the grass in the garden ?

This was on an apartment balcony; I lived on the 2nd floor of a busy apartment building. When I moved there I made this grass patch since I couldn't let her play downstairs where there are dogs, too many noises and confusion and the parking lot with cars whizzing in and out.

This thread is older but I hope I can get an answer. I just made my "grass cat rug" today. The sod was rolled up. I am wondering if I should have opened it up and gave it a good wash before I put it in my container...because my sod is very dirty. I poured water over the top to wash it off and will probably do it a few more times before I let my cat even see it. Is there anything else I can do to get clean grass like you have? I think my sweet girl would love it!
