Thanks Sprintz...Yes it's a hibiscus...I wish I had purchased more than one when I got this...I didnt realize they were such a beautiful flower...

Can you grow them outdoors? We'd have to have them as indoor plants here!

This is my first year to have this particular plant...I am in East Texas...I have it planted outdoors in half sun half shade...I'm going to have to do some research as to how to prepare them before winter arrives...I would hate to loose it...Where are you located?

I live in Somerset, in South-West England. It's a mild area, normally, but we get light frosts in the winter - hardly any snow, though, as we are one mile from the coast.

Wow a mile from the coast? How lucky! We are about 3 hours from the Galveston coast...We rarely ever have snow here...Winters sometimes get around 20 degrees at the most...
