The wheel bit is to represent the wheel of life, or in Buddhist speak "Wheel of Becoming" . But I need somewhere to dry my laundry too, so the middle of the wheel is ideal!!
Now to find something for the spokes!!

sounds very intreging mari, think i may have to read up on some of the things to do with buddism,,:o) ive heard it has helped alot of people deal with their lives and become stronger for it

It has me, but I wont preach about it! We all need to find our own paths! I was drawn to the non-judgemental aspect of it and the emphasis on compassion!

well i always think like you dont spreach but if it works thats great mari, my brother when young got into bad things but he decided with his wife then to turn to "born again" not my thing but it certainly changed his life and for that i am gratefull , he doesnt belong to the born again church now but he still thanx them for saving him from a terrible life

Now I need to find some herbs! I wonder if I can find the wild garlic, I love that!

Sanbaz, my twin brothers have chosen totally different paths from me AND each other! One is a Pentecostal minister, & the other is a Catholic! Like I say, we all head in the same direction, but the path we follow to get there has to be our choice!

So far I've got lettuce basil coriander, thyme & parsley to put in (only 1 of each tho just now) so it'll take a while to fill in. I want stuff like chamomile & echinacea but they're too tall for there!

Save on conditoner smell coz of all the lovely fragrances off the herbs etc will drift up into the washing that is drying

I've got a pile of herbs in Forfar that I was going to chuck out, but I can't bear to do it. I've 2 kinds of camomile, english thyme, doone valley thyme, chives, marjoram, mint .....If you want them then they are yours for a wee something in my charity can. I've loads of other perennials going spare too. Just send me a private message and I'll give you my address.

If you fancy having chamomile, go for the non flowering kind 'Treneague'. It's much more compact than the flowering one but it has that delicious smell just the same, a good one to put around the edges as the more you step on it the more it'll spread! 8-)

That's the one I want to make a lawn with! But I love chamomile tea, so I'll probably get the flowering onetoo, just not for THAT bed!

i used the flowering one by mistake. it was lovely bt it grew too much...

I use the leaves fron the plain one for tea also, tastes just as good, but must admit I do love the flowers, they always looks so delicate and fresh looking.

Can you cut the flowering one like grass?
I like the flowers too, & they smell so good as cut flowers!
But I love the idea of a fragrant lawn that doesn't need mowing!!

Hmmmm! I'll opt for flowering in the flower bed, & Treneague for a lawn then! All because of a book title!! LOL!
