ive always wanted one of these as well,great photo.

That really is a beautiful specimen - from every angle! Does it throw up a lot of suckers...they usually do when they are mature like that one is.

It did throw up suckers but I haven't seen any for a couple of years now.Maybe it got fed up with them being chopped off!

Funny that - my neighbour has a lovely Rheus and I always said I would nip round one day (they leave me in charge when they go on hols!!) and dig a sucker up - they said I was welcome....and since we agreed on that it has stopped producing any!!!!!!

Thanks Skillen......I actually bought a couple of tiny wee..and I mean tiny wee ones a couple of years ago...but I guess I will never see them mature ha ha !!
The next generation of the family can enjoy them....:>>))

I'm sure you will see them mature - mine was pretty big a couple of years after planting!

I got a large one in my garden, a few small ones wait till they grow a little bigger dig them up and put them in big tubs then their my little trees.
I know they spread but they look nice in the spring + summer untill autumn comes they shread their leaves makes mess on the floor but I dont mind means I love my gardening.
