Pride of Rochester (Deutzia scabra "Pride of Rochester")

Pride of Rochester is,(in my opinion) one of the finest Deutzia's,with it's upright stems filled with small white ,frothy flowers (pink in bud) and mid green foliage.Grows in most soil types, but doesnt like it excessivly wet.
This one does well in my sandy loam.

It's a beauty - such lovely blooms.

Each bloom is less than 1cm across and the pink is actually the bud casing, the actual flower is pure white

It is a stunner - but then I really love displays of white in the garden.

very pretty! I have a viburnum trilobum whose white petals look like confetti...I think it's a bonus feature...the petals look as pretty on the ground as they do on the shrub!!!
