It's called Acidentera (Peacock Orchid).
Really fragrant.

we must be lucky, garden back and front has so many of them. they are lovely, again we hope they grow again next year.

My experience of the over the 8 years that I've grown them is that they'll come back but rarely reflower. The ones that I lifted, stored & replanted were much more reliable.
That said, mine have failed the last couple of years!
I kinda based my care of them on another of the common names for them - African Gladiolus.

I planted some this yr. thinking they are lovely. Leave are up can't wait to c flowers. Sure home mine come back.
