Another beautiful little beast. Your so lucky to have them. This year seems to be a very good one for spiders. There are webs and occupants everywhere. Wonderful.

Ah, missed the perfect opportunity to give all the goY arachnophobes a little jolt, aye BB? hahahaha Suey187, just be glad you only have two! I haven't seen an Argiopes yet, Toto... my season would be complete if I could...had a seven legged beauty last year! Posted a pic of an empty web...no sign of an occupant...darn it! When you take an up-close-and-personal shot of their mandibles it makes me very glad that they are smaller than I am!
On a previous pic, BB, you mentioned bird eating spiders...are you sure you're not thinking about bird eating bull frogs?

I reckon Bonkers to tell the difference Lori as the frog has four legs and the spider eight or in some cases seven. Other than that they look exactly the same he may be getting confused with the Cane Toads though.
