Madperth....No it is not a fungus, although it does resemble them. It is a flowering plant in the same family as blueberries!

Truly not bluebells..... It is actually related to the azaleas, laurels, rhododendrons, and the bonny heather in the heath family! That is the Ericaceae family which includes Blueberries here in the states.
