Azaleas

Azaleas

This is back in March/April before the Fuschia tree sprang back to life. The one at the back hasn't made it as there just wasn't enough sun or water, and I didn't notice because the Fuschia tree is so huge.

Do you mean the bed or the now dead azalea? The bed was already there, but had been really neglected, so had to be double dug as much as possible, as it was unbelievably weed infested. The dead azalea was dug out and put in a pot, but it is still looking very sad indeed, so I am not hopeful of a revival.

Oh I put ericaceous compost everywhere - it was just that the fushcia tree which looks fairly dead in this picture exploded into life and took all the light and water - and I didn't notice until it was too late. Never mind - love an excuse for buying more plants!!
