I haven't seen that one - but this plant is at least 30 years old according to a neighbour. I didn't think they would survive that long even if they were hardy. It's very nice, but does rather take over the bed, so difficult to find things to go under it that will survive. I will google a Mrs Popple to have a look.

This is beautiful!
First google search I did on fuschia I came up with a photo series of one about this size and age in a pot that they had to mount on a cart to roll in and out of the greenhouse for overwintering. It was astounding! I've been collecting since. :-)

The fantastic thing about this one is that it is completely hardy - I can't see myself rolling it in and out of the greenhouse! This year we had a heavy snow in Feb, and I was worried that it might not make it - but it came back stronger than ever. Thanks for the complimnent - I will pass it on to the plant!

:-)
It does sound hardy. I'm worried the day mine may be too large to lug into the house.....lol.

That's amazing Muddy. I thought my Mrs. Popple was pretty big, but not compared with this one.
