I only grow them in baskets so deading heading is quick every evening. Know what you mean about them being sticky though.

Same here - all in baskets - still too messy though!! My trouble is I have too many baskets - what with all my tomatoes and flowers I must have about 50 or 60 - maybe more - haven't counted this year(!) ...but by the time I have watered that lot each night and tidied them up...I am exhausted...nobody to blame but myself :~)))

What lovely colours ...they do make a wonderful show ...but are so labour intensive with all that sticky deadheading...after so many years of it I am going off them!!!
