Thanks Janette..I have a load of shots of him at work fishing..I am thinking of a blog..the lagoon was not so busy as it is some times..he was alone there except for two ducks swimming in to see if I had something for them...any others were on the far side of the lagoon and not reachable by me or my camera...

What a handsom chap you are, pleased to meet you and welcome to GOY. Now I might be sticking my neck out on this but it looks to me that the water level is getting very low for you there - is that normal for this time of year? There is a lot of algae too, it can't be very pleasant for you when fishing and paddling.

Oh my yes! ...I am getting tired of all of this algae..my fishing spot gets more and more covered by it so is getting smaller and smaller..cannot see the little fishes or the little sea worms so well..If this weather would cool and we could get more rain finally it would help. The ducks keep paddling in it, they even peck at it...gack..a heron cannot eat that.
But this time of year the water level here does get lower. It is a tedious time of year waiting for the winter rains again. Many of my realtives are looking elsewhere for fishes along the salt water bays, as they do not seem to warm so much, nor do they run low as they fill and empty with the ocean tides. Not sure why I am bothering with this area..but I like having my own territory....
The Heron..

Thanks for your welcome to GOY
