Well done growing it on - is quite tender. Is that its true colour? Lovely light on the flower.

I love Cobea Scandens. Really interesting(cup and saucer) flowers but I must admit I only grew them one year as they seemd to take forever to come into bloom and there weren't an awful lot of them!

I love the way they change from cream buds and turn purple as they mature. It's the first time I've had any success. They like to have their roots in the ground rather than a container. My soil is acid, but don't know if that has any significance.

Well mine is an alkaline (limy) clay soil and it grew very strongly in that as well!
