No - they are probably either Geranium x endressii, or G.x oxonianum. These do hybridise with each other, when the insects take pollen from one to the other! They spead, as well, but they are garden plants.

they are not the wild ones for sure. but spritz has a lot of geraniums so her advice is definitely worth following.

Geranium, commonly known as Cranesbill, of some variety, as the others say. I'm wondering if you're slightly confused by the term geranium - the ones most people think of are the drumstick flowered, red, pink, peach or white summer bedders, but their real name is Pelargonium. The plant in your picture is a genuine Geranium. If you knew that already, sorry to be boring!

I think this is probably Geranium x endressi...just chop it all back to ground level, and it'll be back next spring! Or if you want to spread it around, dig it out after cutting back, divide the clump and replant where you want it ( they like sun but do just fine in semi-shady areas, too! )
