If so, are these suppose to be fungus and should i be concern of what and why this has happended. and how to start protecting them, do I still water them?

Thank you Youngdaisydee. Are they suppose to be in that condition and should i start wraping the branches around the tree as another member has given advice to do this? although where i do give water at the top is pretty much closed up, is this also suppose to happen cause of winter?

I stuff fleece into the crown and around the trunk and i tie the leaves up, just for extra protection, dont worry if the leaves go brown as you can cut them off next spring..water every few weeks if its in a Greenhouse... Your TF looks fine, dont worry...
ps, i know you can't help it, i used to worry all the time hehe..

There the old fronds Bally which have been cut off..Your TF looks fine..Keep watering as there very thirsty Trees, dont forget to water the Trunk as this is where the roots are...
