Dinnerplate Dahlia...almost!

they have been so slow this year...planted them out at regular time but for some reason they didn't catch on right away...killing frost last night and they're toast!~

the lack of moisture may have been a factor, Motinot...but we had so much rain this summer that I didn't have to do any watering until late August..just realized that this is a crisp pic of the neighbour's backyard...lol...it's me old eyes...don't work like they used to when looking thro a camera viewfinder. lol.

Ah, very sorry about this Lori. I must say my dahlia did poorly this year as well. I started some early and they flowered only in spring and few new ones started later even got a bloom open. I think there was something going on this side of the pond.

..our weather has been strange lately...Gt... Yes..I was thrilled with them last year, Janette... will have to give them better care next season... Thanks for the good wishes, Suey and Mb!
