Not so for the Aconite!

moved the monkshood to a semi shadey fertile spot...and this is what happened...it's very late to bloom too! but under the larch it seems content. the fence behind is 8 ft tall...the plant is quite tall...and the blossom looks good...but it's a mutant!

Mutants like this welcome any day ...only my weeds seem to mutate .

This is still gorgeous. I am looking for this next year. I really prefer them. They will flower right through a few frosts no problem.

My monkshood carmichael's in bloom right now too ! One of the last plants to bloom in my garden every year.
