Hi Rufus and Welcome to GoY, you said in your profile that your large garden is somewhat out of control, I actually think that, from your photo's, it looks well balanced between wild and maintainable, it must be a pleasure to see all the birds and insects that must visit during the height of summer, and I love the winter shots too.

Hi Bob - this website is so friendly! I think it is definitely maintainable, I just haven't got there yet. Loads of wildlife including a family of ducks who waddled in through the back gate last summer looking for a pond then waddled out again. Oh and we get bats zipping around in the evenings.

Yes Rufus we are a freindly bunch on here and helpful too, if you have a problem just ask and I am sure someone will know the answer.
I would love to have a family of bats around, I do feed birds in the garden and I have a good variety of them visit from time to time, also a squirrel who pinches my coconuts when I put them out, and I have seen a hawk in the garden but far too quick to get a picture.

Have to agree with Bob, wild but maintainable.....I like it!

That empty greenhouse . I would like to bet in another year from now it will be full of plants. You are the gardener with that lovely brick wall . I can picture a flowering vine against the pale wall. a dark coloured rose or maye clematis.
