Bernieh, thanks for your comment. There is so much I want to do and so much to learn, but I love it and the work is so fulfilling, but I am so impatient

Gardening is definitely a labour of love - we're all impatient at times wanting to get things done or wanting things to grow and bloom ... it will all happen eventually and then you'll want to make changes and have to start all over again! Such fun!

Sorry I have put my name on as bidget and it should be Bridget. Thank you for your welcomes. I spent far too much time yesterday looking at everyones gardens and found lots and lots of inspiration. I want to create a big circular bed in the middle of my lawn with planting around the outside and seating area within and the task in front of me seems massive. I know I need to start the circle of digging out. Can anyone tell me how to get the shape started

Maybe if you put it in the question section aswell as here you will get some ideas. I've never done that so I can't answer you. Good luck :o)

Welcome Bridget. They border looks pretty, the stone edging sets it off nicely and that backdrop is a wonderful freebie.

Welcome to GOY Bidget. You've already got a variety of heights, colours and foliage types - it's a great start and it looks terrific. You do have a lovely view there as well to complement your garden bed. Those stones look great as the border edge.
