Such a drought hardy, heat hardy plant - and the flowers put on a great display.

Catfinch - we have a lot of the cassia family growing over here as well ... this particular one is rather lovely. Commonly known as the Southern or Argentina Cassia it has these golden yellow flowers all through the summer - it's a slow grower and is often grown in pots ... in the garden it can reach around 12 feet.

That must be so pretty to see like that..if you grow it in pots does that stunt it a bit?

No not at all Catfinch - it keeps it's shape beautifully and flowers prolifically in pots.

It gets to 12 feet tall in pots as well as growing in the ground?

No ... doesn't get that tall in pots. I've only every seen it get to around 6 feet in a very large pot (that was at a resort I once visited) - looks magnificent covered in blooms.

Hi Bernieh, Hi Catfinch,
I added pictures whole plants in pots.
The plant has been attacked by parasites, but was able to finish flowering.

Thanks Amano - will go and check them out. Catfinch will be pleased!
