I can't make out what i'm looking at Pitta !
I can see its backside stuck up in the air, and is that the rest of it - in the hole ?
Your close-up is brilliant, fancy a wasp living in the mud, you certainly do get some interesting creatures over there :-))

YOU SEE THE RED MUD HALF MOON DOME , THAT IS THE NEST ITS MAKING. THATS ITS ABDOMEN STICKING UP IN THE AIR , THEN YOU WILL SEE THE LEGS AND THORAX PART OF THE WASP CLOSE TO THE DOME
WHEN IT FINISHES MAKING EACH SECTION OR CELL IT FLIES OFF AND STEALS A SMALL GRUB FROM WE KNOW NOT WHERE . IT RETURNS AND SEALS THE GRUB INTO A CELL OR CHAMBER . WHEN IT HAS SEVERAL CHAMBERS PLUS GRUBS INTACT IT WILL THEN INJECT AN EGG INTO EACH CHAMBER AND FLY OFF TO START AGAIN. tHE EGGS DEVELOPS AND THE BAGY WASP HAS FOOD [GRUB] ON TAP TILL ITS TIME FOR THE WASP TO DIG ITS WAY OUT. OH I FORGOT TO SAY THE MUM WAST INJECTS THE GRUB TO PARALYSE IT FIRST . i know this is a long winded explanation and you are likely confused more .
