Lupins in November

I saw Pottyygardener's late-flowering Hebe, and thought of this lupin I found in Green Bay on November 9 - one of several in people's gardens, just across the road from the beach. Obviously a second blooming - these plants are as confused as we are, Toto.

Sorry Toto, I know you have a sore neck already from trying to look at my photos. It just wouldn't load as a portrait version, even though that's how it's saved... You'll need to use your imagination - I know you have one.

Imagination! Yes probably. It's the only thing that still works.

Yes, all are confused Elke...I still have some summer bedding plants flowering. We are due a heavy frost tonight according to the weather. So if that comes they may not be around then.

Oddly, we have had several hard frosts, Pottygardener, starting in October, but these continued to bloom. However, they are right across the road from the ocean, and that would have a direct mitigating effect, surely. We may get quite a fall of snow later this week - watch this space!!

I don't think that they are as confused as me! This one seems more confuse than most as it doesn't seem to know which way is up.
