Conifer Bed

think i have this on my fron drive, just to fill in an old small square where once stood a tree, its spread quite well and gives a bit of colour all year :o)

That was one thing that appealed to me, the colour. I also like the fact that it spreads across the floor. I am looking forward to seeing how it looks in a few years.

they do look good once spread, and quite easy to get under for weeds, i get that long grass growing through but just lift the shrub and pull from under it,

The whole bed is full of that grass and I don't notice it until it has established itself under the conifers. The other thing that I have is that pretty little weed with dark brown leaves that look like clover with yellow flowers. It seems that everyone does the same thing - thinks it's pretty and leaves it and it takes over the garden and is sooo hard to get rid of.

some weeds do take over very quickly dont they, never ending battle
