Is that lilac flower in front of the choisa a perennial wallflower (erysimum) ? .Plants seem to flower at odd times nowadays.

Yes it's Bowles Mauve Madabout :-) It flowers most of the winter but has a short life, bout 2-3 years

Yes it is not long lived. After I lost mine my brother told me I should have taken cuttings.
