This photo was taken on New years Eve 31/12/2009 when it was freezing . The rose variety is called Better Tomorrow. I originally included it in my Roses Grow on You blog three months ago even though it had not bloomed. I have been waiting for it to bloom ever since.

Happy New Year, Gardeningfriend!

Thank you everyone for your comments and new year best wishes. This rose is still in bloom but I do not think the minus 10c temperatures are ideal for it. The petals seem reluctant to open up fully and it has experienced some slight frost damage on the edges and the colour has faded a little. I have today posted two more photos of this bloom in the snow on my roses grow on you blog (Rose photos 24 and 25).
